Outstanding Student Research Intern Award
Energy Materials Research Centre (EMRC), research unit of Global Advanced Training and Educational Trust, Institute of Solar Technology and Academy of EV Technology,
offers a Student Research Internship Program for highly motivated high school, undergraduate, graduate and
working professionals. Interns will work with and learn from a multi-disciplinary team of scientists,
who include internationally-renowned investigators in the areas of renewable energy, PV Solar power, Energy storage battery, Lithium-ion battery,
and community engagement.
The primary aim of the internship program is to train and prepare students interested in
environmental science, green energy, and energy storage science to become future leaders in the
green energy research.
Internship Objectives
⊕ Gain knowledge of and exposure to current topics in energy science, including the renewable energy and energy storage.
⊕ Learn study design and analysis procedures relevant for translational research
⊕ Observe the various steps of proposing, designing, undertaking and analyzing challenges and mitigation
⊕ Become proficient in presenting scientific concepts—including study design, research findings, data analysis and results interpretation—to peers and mentors.
Based on the intern’s individual interests, he or she will be assigned a primary mentor. It is the mentor’s responsibility to advise and guide the intern with respect to achieving the aims and requirements of the program. The mentor may also, to the degree appropriate, provide information and insights regarding future academic and career development goals. Although each intern will work primarily with his/her individual mentor, dialogue with other investigators at the Scripps Research Translational Institute is highly encouraged.

Who Can Apply?
Highly motivated students in high school, college or professional training may apply.
The primary criterion for admission is a strong interest in genomics or mHealth translational research.
Please note that high school students must be at least 16 years of age before the start of their internship.
Funding
Please note: our internship is unpaid 10 week program that brings approximately 40 talented and
motivated students (high school, undergraduate, graduate and professional).
The Outstanding Student Intern Award will be presented to best students interns
who are nominated by an internship supervisor
after publishing their research or review paper from international publisher under
Energy Materials Research Centre for their:
1. top level research achievements
2. contributions to their internship work
